CLEAResult is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a 10–15 engineer team across a portfolio of energy efficiency programs in the Midwest, including Minnesota. You will drive technical leadership, budget development, and strategic improvements while delivering cost savings and emissions reductions for clients.

Responsibilities include guiding tools, templates, and processes; mentoring engineers; managing workload and budgets; and building strong client and cross-functional relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil or environmental engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in energy efficiency and/or sustainability consulting.
• 8+ years of people management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills; VBA a plus.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, and written).
• Motivation for fast-paced environments.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Ability to create growth opportunities for team members.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Exposure to building and system modeling software (Energy Plus, eQuest, JMP, NEO, TraneTrace).

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate Technical Leadership: provide expertise in audits, evaluations, HVAC, M&V, RCx, refrigeration, tool development and/or other areas of focus for the team and clients.
• Direct updates to templates, tools, and procedures reflecting client requests and industry developments.
• Lead team engagement with evaluation contractors and utility clients.
• Guide team members in applying technical knowledge effectively.
• Ensure adherence to processes, procedures, and performance standards.
• Oversee Team Workload and Project Execution: manage workload to ensure timely, high-quality delivery and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Mentor and Grow Engineering Talent: provide guidance and support for career growth.
• Manage Financial and Operational Resources: oversee labor and operating expenses; allocate resources effectively.
• Lead Scope and Budget Development: develop engineering scopes and budgets for business development.
• Foster Strategic Relationships: build relationships with engineering leadership and regional peers.
• Drive Strategic Planning and Program Improvement: enhance program delivery and processes.
• Influence Program Design Through Industry Expertise: shape program design and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Recruit and Develop Talent: lead hiring, interviews, onboarding and training.
• Champion Process Improvements: implement process enhancements to improve efficiency.
• Communicate Technical Insights: present updates to clients and internal stakeholders; provide ongoing feedback.
• Travel: up to 25% for meetings and project support.
