Job summary

CLEAResult seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of 10–15 engineers across a portfolio of 85+ gas and electric programs in the Midwest, focusing on Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin.

You will drive technical leadership, project delivery, talent development, and strategic planning while engaging with utility clients and cross-functional teams to deliver cost savings and emission reductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil or environmental engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in energy efficiency and/or sustainability consulting.
• Minimum of 8 years of people management experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with building and system modeling software like Energy Plus or eQuest is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical leadership across audits, HVAC, M&V, RCx, refrigeration, and related tools.
• Oversee team workload and ensure timely, high-quality client project delivery.
• Mentor engineers and foster continuous learning and career growth.
• Manage labor and operating expenses and resource allocation.
• Lead scope and budget development for engineering opportunities.
• Build strategic relationships with engineering leadership and regional peers.
• Drive program improvement and process enhancements.
