CVS Health Specialty Pharmacy Engineering is seeking a hands-on Senior Manager — Software Development Engineering to lead a diverse team across geographies, delivering multi-year modernization roadmaps and software releases in an Agile environment.

This role partners with Strategy, Operations, product leaders and vendors to drive operational efficiency, technology strategy and high-quality software while mentoring engineers and guiding career growth.

Qualifications

7+ years of software development with Agile.
5+ years building microservices in Python/Java (Spring Boot).
3+ years leading distributed multi-site/remote teams.
3+ years using containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
2+ years in cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
1+ years in AI frameworks and generative AI web services.

Responsibilities

Lead design, foundational framework and development of Specialty Pharmacy products and technology assets.
Assess software engineering practices, drive continuous improvement and overall product quality.
Lead engineering teams, guiding and mentoring across multiple platforms.
People management including hiring, performance reviews, and career development.
Build strong relationships with Business, Product and Technology partners to support the roadmap.
Coordinate onshore/offshore vendor staffing and partnerships.
