Job summary

CLEAResult is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a 10-15 engineer team across a portfolio of 85+ energy programs in the Midwest, including MO. You will guide technical direction, manage workloads, and develop client-ready solutions while advancing program delivery and efficiency.

You will mentor engineers, develop budgets and scopes, and collaborate with leadership to drive strategic projects. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil or environmental engineering.
10+ years of experience in energy efficiency and/or sustainability consulting.
8+ years of people management experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel; VBA a plus.
Excellent communication skills and strong time management.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across audits, HVAC, M&V, RCx, refrigeration and related areas.
Direct updates to templates, tools, and procedures to reflect client requests.
Lead team engagement with evaluation contractors and utility clients.
Guide team members in applying technical knowledge effectively.
Ensure adherence to processes and performance standards.
Manage workload for timely, high-quality project delivery.
Mentor engineers and foster career growth.
Develop scopes of work and budgets for business opportunities.
Build relationships with engineering leadership and regional peers.
Drive program improvement and strategic planning.
