Job summary

CLEAResult is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to drive cost savings and emissions reductions across 85+ programs in the Midwest, including the Iowa region. You will lead a 10–15 engineer team, guiding technical efforts from audits to M&V and program improvements.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, resource management, and cross-functional collaboration with senior leadership to align with client goals. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil or environmental engineering.
• 10+ years of energy efficiency and/or sustainability consulting experience.
• 8+ years of people management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel; VBA is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, written).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10–15 engineers, including engineering leaders, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Provide technical leadership in audits, HVAC, M&V, RCx, refrigeration, and related areas.
• Oversee templates, tools, and procedures reflecting client needs and industry developments.
• Manage workload, communicate status, milestones, and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and foster career development and continuous learning.
• Develop and negotiate engineering scopes of work and budgets for business opportunities.
