Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead and mentor engineers, while contributing technically as a contributor or lead.

You will align cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver scalable cloud-native solutions for government partners, with a focus on reliability, security, and user experience. You will guide architectural decisions, oversee roadmaps, and ensure production systems run smoothly, including on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in an agile, multidisciplinary team building cloud platforms.
• 1+ year as a people manager.
• Production-grade, cloud-native microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and containerized deployment patterns.
• Relational DBs with Postgres via JDBC and ORM mappers like Hibernate.
• DevOps experience, Jenkins CI/CD.
• AWS cloud-native services and data engineering.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams; guide planning, estimation and trade-offs.
• Review architectures and designs across projects to ensure quality.
• Design technical roadmaps and enforce architectural standards.
• Maintain production systems and manage on-call duties.
• Collaborate with product teams to identify risks and drive delivery.
• Contribute to client bids and growth opportunities.
• Engage with government stakeholders to align initiatives.
