Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead software teams, contribute technically, and guide cross-functional delivery in support of Nava’s mission.

You will mentor engineers, shape roadmaps, and ensure high-quality, scalable cloud-based solutions for government clients. You will work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable systems, while upholding Nava’s core values: active stewardship, root-cause thinking, and collaborative

Qualificações

• 10+ years in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment, preferably designing and building cloud platforms
• 1+ year experience as a People Manager
• Experience designing and implementing production-grade microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, containerized deployment
• Experience with relational databases, preferably Postgres, using JDBC and ORM mappers like Hibernate
• Experience with DevOps, preferably Jenkins CI/CD
• Experience utilizing AWS cloud native services and data engineering
• Tenacity to dive into problems and iterate on working code
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, technically and otherwise

• Guiding engineering on planning, estimation, prioritization, and debt vs milestones
• Reviewing architecture and designs from other teams

• Maintaining production systems and on-call duties
• Collaborating with stakeholders to grow client projects
• Engaging with government clients to align on technical initiatives
• Participating in conferences and networking with potential clients
