Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to define the architectural vision across our leading healthcare platforms. You will drive high-impact, scalable systems and mentor senior engineers while ensuring secure, compliant delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will shape the engineering standards, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and optimize performance on AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, and TypeScript/JavaScript.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive, hands-on software engineering and systems design experience.
• Experience building and scaling distributed, high-throughput, highly available B2B SaaS or transactional systems.
• Deep domain expertise in HealthTech, Digital Pharmacy, or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the target architecture for core platforms and lead execution of high-complexity initiatives.
• Mentor Staff, Senior, and Mid-level engineers to raise engineering standards.
• Enforce engineering standards including coding guidelines, testing, CI/CD, and security-by-design.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering Managers, and Pharmacy Operations to align architectures with business goals.
• Partner with InfoSec to ensure HIPAA and SOC2 compliance.
