Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead architectural vision across our engineering org. You will guide design and execution for high-volume, secure systems powering FuzeRx, with a core stack including AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, and TypeScript/JavaScript.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will mentor staff engineers, enforce coding standards, and collaborate with product and operations to meet clinical requirements while ensuring HIPAA compliance and data security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering and systems design experience.
• Deep domain expertise in HealthTech or regulated environments, with HIPAA/SOC2 awareness.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve architecture for core B2B and consumer platforms.
• Mentor Staff, Senior, and Mid-level engineers; promote engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Pharmacy Operations to align architecture with business goals.
• Ensure regulatory and security compliance, focusing on HIPAA and data privacy.
