Job summary

Fuze Health Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineer to set the technical vision across our engineering organization and guide the design of scalable, secure B2B and consumer health platforms.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and mentor a broad engineering group. You will shape architecture for high-throughput systems on AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, and TypeScript/JavaScript, with a focus on reliability, security, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering and systems design experience.
• Extensive background in building and scaling distributed, high-throughput, and highly available B2B SaaS/transactions systems.
• Experience with HIPAA, SOC2 compliance and healthcare data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the target architecture for core platforms and healthcare systems.
• Mentor Staff, Senior, and Mid-level engineers; promote design reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Establish engineering standards including coding guidelines, testing, CI/CD, and security-by-design.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering Managers, and Pharmacy Operations to align tech with business goals.
• Partner with InfoSec to ensure regulatory compliance and secure messaging.
• Lead performance and reliability improvements across AWS infrastructure and databases.
• Evaluate new tools and AWS services via POCs to improve the ecosystem.
