Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to shape the architectural strategy across our healthcare software platforms. You will lead design across high-volume systems, mentor senior engineers, and drive security-by-design practices while partnering with product and operations teams.

You will work within a healthcare-focused environment, leveraging AWS, PostgreSQL, Ruby on Rails, Python, and TypeScript/JavaScript to deliver scalable, compliant solutions that improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering and systems design experience.
• Deep domain expertise in HealthTech or regulated environments.
• Experience building scalable B2B SaaS or transactional systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the target architecture for core platforms.
• Mentor Staff, Senior, and Mid-level engineers and promote design reviews.
• Establish engineering standards including CI/CD and security-by-design.
• Collaborate with Product Mgmt, Engineering Managers, and Pharmacy Ops.
