Job summary

Salesforce seeks a seasoned engineering leader to manage the IT Application Engineering and Operations team. You will oversee end-to-end tools, systems and apps supporting Finance and HR (Employee Success) platforms, collaborating with IT, Finance and HR to scale and enhance systems.

You will mentor engineers, define scopes, and drive best practices in Agile and CI/CD, with responsibility for test automation and integration projects. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering & operations leadership in Finance/HR systems such as Workday/PeopleSoft/Oracle EBS in end-to-end Hire to Retire or Finance processes.
• Strong engineering management principles including team leadership, performance management & talent development.
• Experience managing vendor partners and contractors.
• Attention to innovation, engineering/operational excellence & test automation.
• Experience in Workday HCM and/or Financial Transformation.
• HR domain (Hire to Retire, Talent Foundations, Total Rewards, Global Time & Absence, Payroll) or Finance processes.
• Experience with MuleSoft and Workday integrations (Studio, Orchestrations).
• Experience leading global teams across time zones.
• Related technical degree required.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with technical & non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with agile/scrum methodology.

• Hire and retain top engineering talent.
• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance for successful delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, timelines & resources.
• Drive adoption of best practices in software engineering including Agile and CI/CD.
• Champion MuleSoft and Workday integrations to optimize financials or HR processes.
• Oversee test automation strategies for integrations and Workday modules.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status updates.
• Occasional travel may be involved.
