Job summary

ComEd, based in Illinois, seeks an experienced design engineer to develop designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of materials for large projects across Exelon’s utility infrastructure. You will coordinate with teams to plan installations, relocations and related field work while ensuring compliance with engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
• Proficient CAD drawing and computer-aided design skills.
• Successful completion of the TECH test (Bachelor's degree exempt).

Responsibilities

• Develop designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of materials for large projects and complex utility infrastructure.
• Coordinate and support New Business installations, removals and relocations.
• Interpret and apply engineering standards and memos; monitor customer needs during projects.
