Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for Enterprise Agents to drive architecture and delivery of production-grade AI Agent capabilities, with GA timing. You will own end-to-end design across backend and platform code, ensuring reliability, security, and observability.

You will mentor engineers, define readiness criteria for GA, and collaborate with product, design, and other teams to ship features at scale in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience architecting and shipping Agent-based systems in production.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and API design.
• Proficiency in at least one OO language (Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Ruby, Python).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, test, and deliver production-grade Agent systems.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, well-tested code across services and data layers.
• Design orchestration patterns for secure, predictable AI Agent integrations.
• Build and maintain the shared system context and guardrails for production reliability.
• Drive GA readiness: close gaps and de-risk timelines.
• Debug and resolve complex issues across the stack; participate in on-call.
• Mentor others and present designs to stakeholders; collaborate cross-functionally.
