Job summary

Akamai is seeking an Engagement Manager II to drive customer success for major clients in Commerce, Transportation, and Manufacturing. You will be the trusted advisor, shaping outcomes with Akamai solutions, and guiding architecture decisions through data-driven assessments.

You will lead a cross-functional team, collaborate with sales, and manage large technical programs while leveraging DevOps, web performance, and core internet technologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing or advisory role.
• Experience leading large technical programs and projects.
• Knowledge of DevOps, web performance, and core internet technologies (DNS, TLS, HTTP).
• Understanding information security fundamentals and protecting data and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloud compute architectures and remote / cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Own customer success as the trusted advisor and drive outcomes using Akamai solutions.
• Research and assess trends to guide customer architecture and adoption decisions.
• Architect and manage web performance, cloud computing, and security solutions.
• Define account strategy, relationships, and project pipeline.
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team and foster empowerment and collaboration.
• Partner with sales and pre-sales to expand services and solutions.
