Job summary

Pattern Energy is seeking a senior legal professional to provide comprehensive legal support across field, commercial, and corporate operations. The role partners with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Asset Management, and Commercial teams to negotiate and manage a broad array of agreements across the United States and Canada, while mitigating risk and ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with active license to practice.
• 7–10+ years of legal experience, preferably in energy or commodities.
• Experience with EEI, ISDA and WSPP trading agreements and complex contracts.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commodity trading agreements (EEI, ISDA, WSPP).
• Advise on trading-related matters, credit, collateral provisions and risk allocation.
• Support Energy Management and Commercial teams on structuring and dispute resolution.
• Draft and negotiate MSAs, O&M, PPAs, land leases, and site agreements.
• Provide practical legal support to cross-functional teams with governance in mind.
• Identify and mitigate contractual and operational risks and indemnities.
