Job summary

Pattern Energy Group seeks a senior real estate attorney to counsel deal teams on land and facility transactions across wind, solar, and storage projects.

You will draft and negotiate land control agreements, support project financing, and coordinate with landowners and partners while ensuring compliance with state real estate laws. A JD, bar licensure, and 5+ years of experience are required; AmLaw or established in-house experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Law degree and licensure in at least one state with at least 5 years of experience as a real estate attorney.
• Experience with project finance, project development and project management transactions preferred.
• AmLaw 200 or established in-house experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, drafts and negotiates real estate agreements for transmission, solar, BESS and wind facilities to protect land rights.
• Assists and coordinates with AGC, Real Estate to adhere to acceptable terms in agreements.
• Advises developers and coordinates with landowner's and investment partners' counsel to resolve real estate issues.
• Consults with local counsel on state real estate law issues to ensure compliance.
• Researches various states' real estate laws as needed on specific issues.
• Reviews land-related permits and negotiates terms with counterparties.
