EDF power solutions North America in Bloomington, MN seeks an experienced Senior Counsel to lead negotiations on commercial contracts and project finance for wind, solar, and storage initiatives, with focus on ISOs/RTOs, interconnection, and procurement agreements.

The role requires a US/NA bar, a JD, 10+ years in corporate transactional law, and ability to manage a small legal team; you will mentor colleagues and support business development while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Formación

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited US law school.
• Current bar license in North American jurisdictions.
• Typically 10+ years of legal experience in corporate transactions and renewable energy.
• Experience drafting, negotiating and reviewing power purchase, interconnection, permits, and project documents.
• Experience with outside counsel and renewable energy clients preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead negotiations, drafting, and review of commercial contracts, merger and acquisition agreements and related documents for solar, wind and storage projects.
• Supports due diligence for project debt financing, project equity financing, and related agreements; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Manages in-house and outside counsel; provides regulatory guidance and strategic input.
• Develops training programs and improves legal department processes to mitigate risk.
• Leads and supports others in the legal department; advises on corporate governance and project structuring.
