Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Regulatory Specialist with energy-sector experience to join our Environmental Services in the US East. You will manage regulatory reviews, coordinate approvals, draft CPCN and permit applications, and support public outreach for complex energy projects.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks across teams and time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental field required with minimum 6 years of experience.
• Ability to manage projects and budgets and work with regulators.
• Strong written and verbal communication and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Identify environmental regulatory requirements for projects.
• Coordinate state, federal, and local approvals and prepare submittals.
• Prepare permit applications and related documentation with agencies.
• Write and review technical reports and CPCN-related documents.
• Support public outreach, including project literature and notices.
• Attend public meetings and manage project tasks and sub-consultants.
• Ensure QA/QC and Health & Safety requirements throughout the project.
