Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Regulatory Specialist with demonstrated energy sector experience to join our Environmental Services team in Williamsburg, VA. You will provide regulatory support, develop deliverables, and manage permit applications across state and federal agencies.

Join a North American network of professionals to execute project tasks, coordinate with clients and sub-consultants, and ensure QA/QC and safety requirements are followed throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Planning, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Project and task management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify environmental regulatory requirements for projects.
• Prepare permit applications and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate state, federal, and local approvals and submittals.
• Write and review technical reports and CPCN applications.
• Support public outreach and stakeholder communications.
• Manage tasks, budgets, and sub-consultants as needed.
• Ensure QA/QC and Health and Safety requirements throughout the project life cycle.
