Job summary

Franklin Energy, based in Colorado, is seeking a field-based Energy Advisor to deliver energy efficiency services to homeowners, landlords and utility customers. You will coordinate program delivery, recommend modifications to electric/gas systems and help customers navigate prescriptive and custom incentives.

The role blends on-site work (3 days) with office time (2 days) and involves travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical school degree relevant to energy/utility field.
• Equivalent work experience may be considered.
• 3-5 years in electric or natural gas utility industry, facilities management, HVAC design or sales, commercial and industrial lighting, conservation and energy management, or related experience.
• 2-3 years in energy efficiency and/or energy modeling.
• Previous customer service, sales, or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct installation of energy saving products as directed by program management
• Promote the energy efficiency program to customers, trade allies and program stakeholders within your assigned territory
• Make outbound calls to existing customers to meet energy saving targets
• Initiate new business with new customers through business-to-business efforts
• Lead presentations promoting energy efficiency programs for targeted groups
• Assist customers through the rebate application process
