Job summary

Franklin Energy is seeking a field-based Energy Advisor to provide homeowners and utility customers with expert energy efficiency guidance. You will coordinate programs, promote incentives, and facilitate rebate applications while combining on-site support with office work.

The role blends field visits (3 days) with office days (2 days per week), and requires strong communication, data entry, and collaboration with energy engineers to identify efficiency opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years in electric or natural gas utility, facilities management, HVAC design or sales, or related.
• Experience managing staff performing proactive customer outreach.
• 2–3 years in energy efficiency and/or energy modeling.
• Customer service, sales, or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote energy efficiency programs to customers, trade allies and stakeholders within your territory.
• Make outbound calls to meet energy saving targets.
• Initiate new business through B2B outreach.
• Lead presentations promoting energy efficiency to targeted groups.
• Assist customers through the rebate application process.
• Install energy efficiency products in tenant units and building common areas.
