Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Senior Desktop & Endpoint Support Technician to join our enterprise IT team in SOUTH San Antonio, TX for a 3 Month Contract (possible extensions). You will provide Tier III escalation, advanced troubleshooting, and leadership for endpoint technologies, including Windows, SCCM/MECM, and Entra ID.

The role requires mentoring, cross-team collaboration with Infrastructure and Security, and strong documentation.

Qualifications

Advanced understanding of networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, wireless.
Experience with enterprise-scale endpoint environments.
Experience with SCCM/MECM administration and software deployment.
Ability to lead technical troubleshooting across multiple teams.
Professional experience in customer service.
Detail oriented with strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to elicit cooperation and action from non-supervised staff.
Overtime work may be required.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary escalation point for complex endpoint, OS, and application issues.
Perform advanced root cause analysis and develop long-term solutions.
Lead Windows 10/11 upgrade initiatives, endpoint deployments, and tech refreshes.
Administer SCCM and endpoint management solutions.
Support Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity-related issues.
Develop documentation, knowledge articles, and SOPs.
Mentor Tier I and II technicians and guide on complex issues.
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Security, and Server teams.
Identify opportunities to automate routine support functions.
