# Desktop SupportApply**Job#: 3045320****Job Description:**Desktop Support T2**Location:** Onsite Austin, TX 78759**Duration**: 6 month contract to hire**Rate**: 30-35hr (based on experience and max is not guaranteed)Role OverviewWe are seeking a mid-level Desktop Support technician to provide Level 2 hands-on support to our end-users. This role is for a technician who has outgrown pure break/fix duties and is ready to contribute to projects, standards, and overall team success. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of empathy and service, focusing on providing better support to internal customers and thinking in terms of process, standardization, and efficiency.Key Responsibilities* Own and resolve escalations from Level 1 support, troubleshooting issues beyond standard scripts and knowledge bases.* Perform Tier 2 break/fix support, identify patterns, and help prevent the recurrence of issues.* Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes.* Handle software installation, uninstallation, and troubleshooting.* Conduct PC and laptop imaging and deployments, including driver management and system refreshes.* Provide support for VoIP systems, such as RingCentral and/or Microsoft Teams.* Support projects, contribute to process improvements, and assist newer technicians in their success.Required Qualifications* Proven experience in a Level 2 Desktop Support role.* Proficiency with endpoint management tools, specifically BigFix, for patching and deployments.* Demonstrated discipline using an ITSM platform, like Jira, for incident management, requests, and documentation.* Experience with Identity and Access Management through Active Directory (users, groups) and exposure to a hybrid Azure/Azure AD environment.* Strong skills in supporting Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365.Preferred Qualifications* Participation in projects beyond standard ticket queues, such as deployments or system improvements.* Experience mentoring or assisting Level 1 technicians.* A mindset geared toward standardization, prevention, and automation, potentially with PowerShell exposure.* Experience contributing to knowledge bases (KBs) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).* Exposure to Privileged Identity Management (PIM). *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
