Job summary

SCA Health is hiring an Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy. You will develop perioperative plans, maintain patient safety, and coordinate care across the surgical team. The role requires GI/OR nursing experience and active RN licensure with certifications such as BLS/ACLS/PALS where applicable.

The position emphasizes rigorous adherence to safety protocols, accuracy in medication administration, and education of patients and families within a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care by implementing.
• Protect the patient from injury and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Communicate patient status across the continuum of care.
• Administer medications safely using the 8 rights of medication administration.
• Maintain aseptic technique and comply with Universal Protocol and time-out policies.
• Manage patient recovery from anesthesia and monitor in accordance with policies.
• Ensure endoscopy scopes and accessories are prepared and maintained.

Education
