Job summary

SCA Health is hiring an RN Endoscopy to join our perioperative care team. You will develop individualized perioperative plans, protect patients from injury, ensure equipment safety, and monitor patient status through the care continuum.

The role requires an active RN license and GI/OR experience; BLS/ACLS (and PALS if pediatric care is included) are expected. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and support patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year GI, OR and /or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standings.
• BLS within 90 days; ACLS within 90 days; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care by implementing: Protecting the patient from injury and ensuring safe operation of equipment.
• Adhering to Universal Protocol and site policies; communicate patient status across the continuum of care.
• Administer medications safely using the 8 rights; practice aseptic technique.
• Maintain endoscopy instruments and accessories; ensure they are in working order.
• Provide patient/family education regarding perioperative care, recovery, and expected responses.
• Demonstrate effective team collaboration and participate in quality review.
