Job summary

SCA Health in the United States is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy to join a patient-centered perioperative team. You will develop individualized perioperative plans, ensure safety, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires nursing from an accredited school, active California license, BLS/BCLS; ACLS and PALS as needed. Prior GI/OR or medical-surgical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• GI/OR/medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure.
• BLS/BCLS certification required.
• ACLS Certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care by implementing.
• Protect the patient from injury from extraneous objects and hazards.
• Demonstrate safe operation of equipment and report unsafe conditions.
• Provide patient advocacy and ensure safety throughout perioperative care.
• Handle specimens according to policy and procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection prevention.
• Provide education to patients and designated support persons.
