Job summary

Ideal candidates hold an RN license with GI/OR experience, and possess BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. This role emphasizes patient advocacy, teamwork, and adherence to standards of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Protect the patient from injury and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• administer medications safely and monitor patient status.
• Maintain endoscopy instruments and accessories in working order.
• Provide hand-off reports to teammates and collaborate across the care continuum.
• Demonstrate aseptic technique and adhere to universal precautions.
