Job summary

SCA Health in the United States is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy to deliver perioperative nursing care within the GI/OR environment. You will develop individualized plans of care, monitor recovery from anesthesia, prepare endoscopy scopes, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, holds current state licensure, and has GI/OR or medical/surgical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• PALS if pediatric care is included within 90 days of employment.
• GI Nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Protect patient from injury and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Adhere to Universal Protocol and site validation policy.
• Communicate patient status across the care continuum.
• Administer medications safely using the 8 rights.
• Prepare scopes and maintain endoscopy instruments.
• Provide patient education and involve family in care decisions.
• Demonstrate effective teamwork and communication.
