Job summary

SCA Health seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Endoscopy to develop individualized perioperative plans, administer medications, and monitor patients through recovery. The role emphasizes safe instrument handling, adherence to universal protocols, and effective intra-team communication within a high‑volume endoscopy setting.

Ideal candidates will hold an accredited nursing degree, active state license, and relevant GI/OR/medical-surgical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state nursing license to practice.
• One year GI, OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Protect patient from injuries and ensure safe equipment use.
• Adhere to Universal Protocol and time-out procedures.
• Administer medications safely using the 8 rights.
• Manage patient recovery from anesthesia (moderate sedation and MAC).
• Prepare and maintain endoscopy scopes and instruments.
• Monitor patient status and provide ongoing perioperative education.
• Transfer care and provide concise hand-off reports.
