Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to manage and resolve workplace issues in Upington, with a hybrid work model combining on-site presence and remote flexibility. You will ensure fair treatment, uphold company policies, and promote harmonious employee relations across the organization.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in HR, Law, or Psychology and 5+ years in ER or HR, with deep knowledge of SA labor laws and strong investigative and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Law, Psychology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in employee relations, labor law, or HR management.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor legislation and dispute resolution processes.
• Strong investigative, mediation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve employee grievances, disputes, and disciplinary matters.
• Advise management and employees on company policies and procedures related to employee relations.
• Ensure compliance with South African labor laws and regulations in all ER activities.
• Develop and deliver training programs on topics such as conflict resolution and workplace conduct.
• Conduct workplace investigations in a fair, thorough, and confidential manner.
• Promote a positive employee relations climate and foster open communication channels.
