Placements24 seeks an experienced Employment Law Advisor to oversee employee relations and legal compliance in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on advising on SA labour law, drafting contracts, and guiding disciplinary processes while ensuring policy alignment with BCEA, LRA, and EEA.

The ideal candidate is an admitted attorney with 5+ years in Employment/Labour Law, excellent drafting and advocacy skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with 5+ years in Employment/Labour Law.
• In-depth knowledge of SA labour legislation and case law.
• Experience advising on complex labour disputes, disciplinary actions, and CCMA proceedings.
• Excellent drafting of contracts, policies, and legal documents.
• Strong negotiation, mediation, and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on SA employment and labour law.
• Draft, review, and update employment contracts and policies.
• Advise on disciplinary inquiries, grievances, and CCMA disputes.
• Represent the company in labour court proceedings when needed.
• Conduct workplace investigations and audits.
• Manage retrenchment and large-scale restructuring in compliance with the law.
• Train management and staff on employment law obligations.
• Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, and EEA.
