Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Business Partner to guide and support employee relations at multiple organizational levels. The role partners with HR, Legal, and People Leaders to deliver fair, consistent resolutions aligned with company values.

The candidate will handle investigations, interpret policies, and track trends to improve engagement while traveling up to 25% and operating within Eastern or Central Time Zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Management or a related discipline and 4 years’ experience in a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Direct experience handling all aspects of employee relations issues, including intake, review, and resolution.
• Advanced knowledge of workplace investigations, union avoidance, and state and federal employment laws.
• Demonstrated ability to influence, communicate, and build credibility with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as employee relations expert, providing guidance on employee concerns and conducting investigations.
• Perform and document investigations and other matters according to team process documents.
• Partner with HR and Legal on recommendations to resolve inquiries and investigations in line with company values.
• Interpret policies and ensure consistent application across the organization.
• Own assigned employee relations cases in the case management system and document findings.
• Analyze and track employee relations trends to identify opportunities and improve engagement.
• Support a positive employee relations climate and prompt issue resolution.
• Assist with information gathering for legal complaints and charges.
