Job summary

Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works in Marietta, GA is seeking a world-class embedded software engineer to develop avionics software across subsystems, from design to field testing, on a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team.

You will work on full lifecycle development for avionics services, ground station support, and simulations, collaborating with hardware and software engineers to meet rapid prototype and deliverable goals; travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field; or equivalent experience.
• Experience with C and/or C++ in embedded software.
• Experience with Linux or RTOS and associated toolchains.
• Experience with software development for avionics systems and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead full software lifecycle development across avionics services and ground station software.
• Support ground station development for manned and unmanned systems.
• Develop simulations to support software development.
• Interface with software and systems engineers to define rapid prototype requirements.
• Participate in integration and test events and milestone planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
