Job summary
Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA is seeking an embedded software engineer to develop avionics software across a wide range of aircraft subsystems. The role covers the full software lifecycle from design to testing, with opportunities to work on both current platforms and future aircraft.
You will collaborate with senior engineers to grow into a SME and contribute to rapid prototyping and deliverable software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with C and/or C++ programming.
- Experience with Linux or RTOS and development toolchains.
- Experience developing software for avionics systems.
- Experience with software development processes in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Full software lifecycle development across avionics services and systems.
- Support ground station development for manned and unmanned systems.
- Develop simulations to support software development.
- Interface with software and systems engineers to define rapid prototype requirements.
- Participate in integration and test events.
- Assist with planning and scheduling for integration milestones.
