Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Owego, NY is seeking an embedded software engineer. You will design, develop and test embedded software for mission computers, working across developers, hardware, and test teams to deliver flight-ready code.

You will implement C-based software for RTOS platforms, write device drivers, and contribute to verification, integration, and certification activities in a lab environment, while growing your technical expertise.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional embedded software experience with an associates degree.
• Experience in C for embedded environments and debugging software for embedded hardware.
• Experience with RTOS such as WindRiver VxWorks, GreenHills Integrity, LynxOS or FreeRTOS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, debug, and maintain embedded software.
• Work on software for flight-critical avionics platforms and interfaces.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and test engineers to validate interfaces.
• Produce documentation to support certification and quality processes.
