Job summary
Lockheed Martin Skunk Works in Palmdale, CA is seeking a software engineer to advance vehicle management software for aircraft subsystems. You will contribute to modular, reusable software across current and future platforms, working hands-on from lab to aircraft in all development stages.
Join a high-performing team focused on rapid prototyping and deliverable software for systems engineering, including design, code, integration and field tests. Travel up to 10% may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Experience with C and/or C++.
- Experience with Linux or RTOS and associated toolchains.
- Experience with the software development process in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Full software lifecycle development across avionics services, ground station and mission software.
- Support ground station development for manned and unmanned systems.
- Develop simulations to support software development.
- Interface with software and systems engineers to define rapid prototype requirements.
- Participate in integration and test events.
- Assist with planning and scheduling for key integration milestones.
