Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works in Palmdale, CA seeks world-class software engineers to join the vehicle management software team, developing modular and reusable software for aircraft subsystems. This onsite role offers hands-on work across the full software lifecycle and close collaboration with senior engineers to advance platforms now and in the future.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Experience with C and/or C++.
Experience with Linux or RTOS and associated development toolchains.
Experience as technical lead and/or product owner in an Agile software development environment.
Experience with the software development process in a team setting (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking).

Responsibilities

Product owner of various subsystems with planning, scheduling, cost, and execution responsibilities.
Technical team lead and SME support for avionics subsystems.
Interface with software leadership, systems engineers, and test engineers to align with program objectives.
Full software lifecycle development across avionics services, ground station development, and mission system software.
Development of simulations to support software development.
Participation in integration and test events.
Support planning and scheduling for key integration and milestones.
