Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, CA, is seeking a software engineer to plan, develop, test, and debug avionics-software that supports flight-critical systems. You will work with C/C++ across Windows/Linux environments, and contribute to live asset simulations and HW integration. Emphasis on safety-critical processes and team collaboration.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or higher in a relevant field and hands-on experience with embedded/RTOS environments, software tools, and design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field or equivalent with 5+ years experience.
• Experience with C and/or C++.
• Experience with Linux or RTOS and development toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities.
• Develop avionics services and safety-critical OFP software.
• Coordinate end-to-end integration with live assets, simulations and hardware.
• Ensure software standards are met throughout the lifecycle.
