Job summary

Avalara, Inc. is seeking a Senior Functional Consultant to bridge regulatory mandates with business processes and technical implementation across its ELR ecosystem.

You will translate global e-invoicing requirements into structured designs, lead delivery, and collaborate with mandate SMEs, engineering, and partners to accelerate customer onboarding and standardize deployments. Reporting to the Global Professional Services Leader, you will guide implementations, manage risks, and drive successful

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in ERP consulting, solution architecture, business analysis, product ownership, or enterprise software implementation.
• Experience with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) business processes.
• Experience translating requirements into technical designs and implementation guidance.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Workday, Infor, or similar platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
• Experience working across all teams.
• Experience with global e-invoicing, indirect tax compliance, CTC frameworks, PEPPOL, or digital reporting mandates.
• Product ownership or product management experience.
• Experience designing integrations, APIs, or enterprise application architectures.
• Familiarity with SaaS implementation methodologies and partner ecosystems.
• Experience working with system integrators, ISVs, or technology partners.
• Knowledge of B2B transaction processing and electronic document exchange

Responsibilities
