Job summary

Avalara is seeking a Senior Functional Consultant to bridge e-invoicing regulatory mandates with business processes and technical implementation across the ELR ecosystem.

The role collaborates with mandate SMEs, engineering, ERP connectors, and partners to translate requirements into reusable designs and guide successful customer outcomes. Extensive P2P/O2C and ERP system experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in ERP consulting, solution architecture, business analysis, product ownership, or enterprise software implementation.
• Experience with Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) and Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) processes.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Workday, Infor, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Translate regulatory mandates into standardized business and technical design artifacts.
• Lead implementation and delivery across ELR ecosystem and partners.
• Guide onboarding and deployment activities for new ELR customers and partners.
• Identify risks and resolve dependencies with cross-functional teams.
• Be the primary liaison between regulatory SMEs, product, engineering, and partners.
