Job summary

Schindler in Toledo, OH is seeking a Field Superintendent of Modernization (MOD) to oversee elevator modernization projects, manage field technicians, and ensure safety, schedule, quality, and cost standards. You will coordinate scheduling, procurement, and logistics, track progress and labor, and collaborate with sales, engineering, PM, and service teams to deliver high-quality results.

The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical leadership or elevator industry preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in related field.
• Strong problem-solving and communication; able to manage sensitive employee relations.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Strong organizational skills; experience managing tradespeople.
• On-call flexibility as needed.
• Adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior project management skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee elevator modernization projects and field technicians.
• Manage project scheduling, procurement, and logistics.
• Track progress, labor, and profitability.
