Job summary

Schindler Group in Dallas seeks a Field Superintendent of Modernization to oversee elevator modernization projects, manage field technicians, and ensure safety, schedule adherence, quality, and cost controls across multiple sites.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, coach technicians, and handle procurement, staffing, and documentation while maintaining strong relations with union leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical leadership experience or elevator industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in relevant work experience in the elevator industry or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee elevator modernization projects and manage field technicians to meet safety, schedule, quality, and cost targets.
• Coordinate project scheduling, procurement, and field logistics for timely completion.
• Track progress and labor allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, project management and service teams to deliver high-quality results.
• Manage project documentation including invoicing, change orders, and financial forecasting.
• Maintain relationships with union representatives and support staffing needs including hiring and disciplinary actions.
