Job summary

Andersen Corporation is seeking a multi-skilled electrical maintenance technician in Dubuque, IA. The role focuses on troubleshooting advanced electrical/mechanical systems, mentoring apprentices, and enforcing NFPA 79 standards to maintain safe, reliable equipment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing PLC/HMI/CNC systems, maintaining switchgear, and supporting TPM and CI initiatives. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master Electrician License (preferred).
• Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, reasoning and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Understanding NFPA 70 electrical code (preferred).
• 2-yr technical degree or equivalent past work experience.
• Continued technical training required each year.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot intermediate-to-advanced electrical/mechanical systems (PLC, drives, servo, HMI, CNC).
• Mentor apprentice electricians (preferred).
• Enforce NFPA 79 electrical code during installations and maintenance.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, troubleshoot MCCs, switchgear and motor controls.
• Operate CNC machining equipment and align shafts as required.
