Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Cottage Grove, MN is seeking an Electro/Mechanical Technician to troubleshoot and repair production equipment with advanced PLC, drives, servo, HMI, CNC, and MES integration expertise.

You will mentor technicians, lead continuous improvement initiatives, ensure electrical safety per NFPA 79, and collaborate with management to schedule work. A 2-year technical degree and 5 years of related experience are required, with opportunities for TPM deployment and career growth.

Qualifications

Ability to troubleshoot PLC and electromechanical aspects of manufacturing equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.
Ability to troubleshoot under pressure on all lines of production and prioritise repairs.
Ability to read mechanical, fluid power, electrical, and building prints.
Ability to use testing equipment including electrical, mechanical and fluid power.
Self-motivation and ability to work independently or in a team.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Broad knowledge of PLCs and electrical principles; hydraulics and pneumatics.
Knowledge of plumbing, machine piping, HVAC and central dust collection; PPE and lockout/tagout safety.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical functions and control systems for production equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks and document completed work.
Contact vendors, order parts, and manage inventory for equipment.
Prepare machines for production through rigging, leveling and testing.
Fabricate fixtures, guarding, and machine parts as needed.
Collaborate with management to schedule and complete work.
Assist in TPM objectives deployment.
