Job summary

Mortenson Construction seeks an Electrical Superintendent II to lead coordination, planning, and supervision of electrical work on site. You will oversee assistant superintendents, subcontractors, and craft activities, ensuring conformance to drawings, specs, and quality plans.

Responsibilities include review of drawings, submittals, and RFIs with engineering, maintaining schedules, safety, and supplier coordination. Travel and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years' experience with high/medium voltage equipment, transmission/collection lines, and substation construction.
• Minimum 15 years supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, IEEE, NEMA, and OSHA codes and safety requirements.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical scope within the building site.
• Ensure high-quality installation of electrical portions including underground cabling and substations.
• Provide reviews with engineering team on drawings, submittals, and materials quality.
• Lead and supervise field teams, subcontractors, and craft activities.
• Oversee interface with power grid connections and fiber optic work.
• Attend project meetings and liaison between field engineers and contractors.
• Ensure adherence to Mortenson Quality Plan and QC documentation.
• Mentor and train field personnel and forepersons.
• Identify hiring needs and contribute to staffing decisions.
