Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced LOTO Electrical Superintendent I to provide coordination, planning, and supervision for electrical activities in a dynamic project environment.

Responsibilities include leading craft teams, ensuring dead and tagged connections, safety compliance, and mentoring field staff. Requires a strong electrical background, leadership, and 100% travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience with high and medium voltage equipment and substations.
• Minimum 13 years supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with electrical testing methods (Hi-pot, Megger, Doble, TTR).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 100%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical scope projects for high-quality installations.
• Supervise collection system and grid connection work.
• Provide drawing reviews and verify materials and workmanship.
• Collaborate on formwork, equipment sizing, and three-week look-ahead.
• Ensure resources and supervise quality control of all work.
• Monitor safety under the Zero Injury Program.
• Bridge field engineers and contractors to ensure drawings compliance.
• Oversee safety data, incident analysis, and OSHA reporting.
• Coach and train field personnel and superintendents.
• Maintain relationships with visitors and manage union issues.
