Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent for field-based work on solar, BESS, and high-voltage EPC projects in the United States. You will lead the electrical team, ensure construction aligns with the owner’s contract, and coordinate with the PM team and subcontractors on site.

The role requires strong NEC knowledge, experience with electrical installation, reading drawings, and enforcing safety standards on a busy project site.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical theory and NEC standards.
• Experience with means and methods of electrical work including trenching, equipment install, terminations and testing.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment such as transformers, breakers, switches, cables, junction boxes and inverters.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and identify discrepancies with installations.
• Ability to read and execute a construction schedule and understand critical path.
• Knowledge of OSHA and electrical safety practices including arc flash and LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the team of electrical superintendents.
• Coordinate activities to keep electrical subcontractors on schedule and identify risks.
• Produce daily reports and communicate progress to project team and owner.
• Review drawings and ensure construction aligns with approved design; manage RFIs.
• Coordinate material delivery, tracking and vendor coordination to prevent delays.
• Promote a safety-focused culture on site and enforce safety policies.
• Review and approve permits, JSA/JHA, and safety procedures for electrical work.
