Field Electrical Superintendent — Solar & BESS

Job summary

CoVolt Power is a field-based role supporting the Project Management team to manage the electrical scope for utility-scale solar, BESS, and HV infrastructure projects. You will ensure construction aligns with the owner’s contract and project plans on site.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of construction management experience on large energy projects, strong IFC drawing interpretation, and proven leadership to supervise subcontractors and coordinate with the PM team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years construction management experience on large utility, solar or wind energy projects.
• Experience managing the electrical scope for utility-scale solar projects.
• Union and open shop site construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and apply IFC drawings and project specifications for electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for CoVolt Power by promoting policies and core principles on the project.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Estimating during pre-bid and buyout stages.
• Supervise all subcontractors involved with the electrical scope and build strong relationships to promote accountability.
• Plan daily activities, take photos, and compile reports; maintain a clean, organized trailer and site.
• Resolve issues through face-to-face communication and proactive problem-solving.
• Perform mobility at construction sites, including climbing ladders and lifting up to 40 pounds as needed.
