Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer – SME to act as a senior technical authority for electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale, colocation, AI/HPC, and other mission-critical facilities. You will shape electrical strategy from utility interconnection through the IT load while providing technical direction and mentorship.

You will lead MV/LV distribution design, review power studies, and guide project teams through design, procurement, commissioning, and turnover, ensuring reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Active Electrical PE license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; NCEES record preferred.
• 15–20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience in data centers or high-reliability facilities.
• Advanced expertise in MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, generator plants, paralleling, UPS, transfer schemes.
• Experience with load-flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, protection coordination using ETAP/SKM/EasyPower.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical architecture decisions from utility interconnection to IT load.
• Provide senior technical leadership for power distribution and critical power systems.
• Review calculations and drawings for design governance across project teams.
